Macaulay has partnered with several CUNY graduate institutions to establish accelerated bachelor’s – master’s programs. These programs allow Macaulay students to take between 12 and 18 credits of graduate-level coursework that count toward both their bachelor’s degrees and a graduate credential. Macaulay students accepted into a 4+1 program can generally complete a bachelor’s and master’s degree in five years.
Existing Macaulay 4+1 programs include the MALS program at the CUNY Graduate Center, The CUNY School of Public Health, Craig Newmark School of Journalism, and the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
Eligibility and application requirements differ by program. In general, Macaulay students may apply for admission to an accelerated bachelor’s-master's program or an advanced certificate program once they have earned 60-75 credits and are in good academic standing. Program-specific requirements and deadlines are available from program websites, shared in Macaulay Monday, Handshake, and from consultation with Macaulay Advisors.
